NORM, Museum für Gestaltung

“Fotomat” is an interactive installation programmed for the graphic design studio NORM. It prints a pixelated portrait of you as a souvenir of your visit.

Museum für Gestaltung

The installation is part of their exhibition “It’s not complicated” at the Museum für Gestaltung in Zürich (14.3 – 6.9.2020). The exhibition was then shown at Galerie ELAC in ECAL, Renens.

This object works like a photo booth using the rules of the Archive U.768: it produces pictures of 24 x 32 pixels in black and white which are printed by a thermal printer. Thus, visitors can take home their printed portrait as a souvenir from their exhibition visit.
